A bit about me and what I do
I am from Cape Town, South Africa, but have been living and working in London, UK since the beginning of 2007.
I studied Art & Design for 3 years in Paarl, South Africa. My career started in printing and print design. It then moved to print and online content. This evolved in a soft spot for the internet which I embrace.
I am currently busy with a course to get down to the even more nitty gritty of all the elements in cyber space and how everything works together in the world wide web. When I design I use Adobe Design Premium and websites I hand code with XHTML and CSS according to web standards. I also use WordPress for CMS (Content Management System) and Blogging.
I like to look at art and make art (The idea is to “paint” my website’s background and change it as I complete a new painting).
For a long time I always wanted to take on the sport fencing. After my first year in London opportunity knocked in my neighbourhood. It was the best decision for 2008 and I think it ties in well with all the other things I like.
“Fencing is more than just a game, it’s a living thing, the sum total of every person, good or bad, who’s ever picked up a sword, a rapier or a foil.”
Nick Evangelista
In my free time I like to get to as many Rock concerts as I can. Moving to the UK have also created a great opportunity for me to travel more often. I am a bit closer to more different countries than I was, all the way down there in the southern hemisphere.
That is basically it in a nutshell, for now. At some stage I might add a bit more…
The body thrives when the heart has a mission.
